From Photonics to the Metaverse: High Tech Campus Eindhoven presents line-up for popular Fe+male Tech Heroes Conference. On Tuesday 14 June, inspiring female (and male) role models from the tech world will take the stage at High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Fe+male Tech Heroes, the initiative of the Campus that strives for gender equality and diversity in tech, is hosting the third edition of their popular annual conference.

Thanks to the support of former EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes and future astronaut Mindy Howard, the first two (free) editions sold out in no time. This year promises to be another great spectacle. Since Covid, we can finally bring together more than 300 tech enthusiasts again. Read the press release about the conference here.

Keynote by Nazanin Shafiee, Business Development Manager SMART Photonics.  

Nazanin is a technology enthusiast and a storyteller. She has dedicated her career to technology commercialization and product development. She has worked on products and interfaced with clients in a broad range of industries throughout her career. The range of industries she has interfaced with includes: medical (implants and surgical device manufacturing), aerospace, telecom, datacom, automotive as well as agriculture. Nazanin wants to get people as excited as she is about the world of technology she lives in and the impact they have on our lives.

10.00 Why we should put more humanity in the Metaverse 
Keynote by Bei Wang, Co-founder and CMO Straight Fire. 

Bei Wang is co-founder and CMO of Straight Fire, a company that is building the world's first NFT Social dApp for creating, sharing, and discovering NFT Stories. After working as campaign officer at Greenpeace, Bei was Editor-in-Chief and Head of the Chinese Department at Dutch broadcaster RNW Media. She then launched the digital China department at RNW and represented the Netherlands in China during the International cultural & media exchanges. Bei co-founded digital consulting service FIVE group, is a frequent guest speaker on cultural communication and has developed the Digital China minor at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. Bei is also cofounder and Board Member of Pan Asian Connections (PAC), a media organization for Asian representation, is on the jury of the Mobius Advertising Awards and keynote speaker at Advertising Week Europe.

11.00 How Dell wants to attract more women to IT
Interview with Isabel Moll, Vice President and General Manager Dell Technologies. 

Isabel Moll is the Vice President & General Manager of Dell Technologies Netherlands, and she is responsible for the Dutch business. Moll has more than twenty years of experience in the IT industry and the common thread in her career is leading complex innovations and digital transformations in which not only technology, but also the process and people were critical aspects in her assignment. She played an important role in the transformation of her own organization as well as that of her customers and gained her experience in process and data intensive sectors, in which (digital) collaboration within and outside the organization was essential for success. Prior to Dell Technologies, she led the services around digital transformations and Data & Analytics for KPMG Healthcare and Public Sector. Her area of focus included the strategy, organization and quality of digital innovation, in particular those innovations that should lead to a data-driven government and value-driven healthcare. Previously, she worked at Microsoft and KLM, where she held various managerial positions and, among others, led Microsoft's Cloud & Enterprise business group in which she was responsible for the broad adoption of Azure in the Dutch market and transformation of the business to a completely different delivery model, the provision of services. Furthermore Moll was instrumental in Women in Tech programs and was involved in establishing the Azure Academy for Women of Microsoft.

Keynote by Annemarie de Jong, Commercial Chief Officer at Solar Monkey Nederland. 

Annemarie de Jong is Commercial Chief Officer at Solar Monkey Nederland. Annemarie has extensive experience in renewable energy innovation and technology. She is determined to make a positive impact on the world by pushing renewables through innovation for the masses. At all the companies she worked for like Tesla, Optimizely, Sonnen, Unu and now Solar Monkey, Annemarie has linked idealistic goals and technological possibilities to people that find commercial possibilities. She inspires and strengthens her teams to reach their full potential and therefore make the biggest and best impact they can make.

14.30 A lifetime of fighting for the woman's heart 
Interview with cardiologist Angela Maas, one of the most influential female doctors in Dutch healthcare. 

Angela Maas, MD, PhD is a clinical cardiologist since more than 30 years and has developed a main interest in heart disease in women over the past decades. She established the first outpatient clinic for women in the Netherlands in 2003. Her main interests are the early identification of women at increased CV risk and symptom evaluation in women at middle-age. She has received many awards such as by the Dutch Society of female physicians (2010), the Radboud University (2014) and was knighted by the King in 2017. She is currently one of the most influential female doctors in Dutch healthcare and was the 2020/21 Women’s representative of the Dutch Government to the United Nations. From May 2022 onwards she focusses on research and advisory tasks only.

Simone Brummelhuis, managing partner of Borski Fund, has more than 20 years of experience as an M&A attorney, entrepreneur and (board)adviser. She brings experience from co-founding and building out IENS, the first female founded super angel and VC backed startup, merged with another VC backed startup (Seatme) and subsequently sold to Tripadvisor, a US listed company. She is an experienced adviser and investor in the startup and scale-up ecosystem, scouting and supporting female founders across Europe and connecting them to the right opportunity and she has advised many Dutch and European female startup and scale-up CEO’s on (certain aspects of) their strategy. She has management experience and supervisory directorship experience with a focus on change of teams and digital transformation in prominent Dutch listed companies in mobility, finance and media companies (Schiphol, Media Huis, Rabo Amsterdam) She is part of the 2021 Inclusive List, 2020 Most Influential Businesswoman of Opzij and Top Corporate Women. Married with 3 children.
